Just consider for a moment that the auto box when suitable tweaked gives you the ability to build boost on the startline withouth launch control, has zero lag between shifts and significantly reduces shock loads on the shafts/hubs.

Just incase you wanted to put 650hp through a manual...

Anybody know the limit in terms of HP or more interestingly Torque on the Auto box?

Limits?

I don't think there are any that anyone has found.

You do need to invest in some tweakage though, NASIOC would be a good place to look, transmission forum, lots of people doing stuff with autos there.

The rigoli cars use auto boxes with standard driveshafts and stuff, you also get less wheelspin after a change which is important for dragging.

Depends what you're after really.
