i've been trying to decide if my dump valve (O.E.) is leaking or not, doesn't really sound like a mooing cow or blowing over the top of a bottle (think these are the right descriptions!)but somethings making a noise

i've got a 2nd hand tested dump valve to fit, which i'll get round to someday, but in the meantime what harm or negative effect will i experience with a leaking dump valve?

you will get loss of boost presure, and turbo over spinning (not good) get it change asap takes abut 5>10 mins

 

cheers mate, might not be leaking then. boost seems ok and it wasn't mentioned when i had my remap a couple of weeks ago, might change it to be on the safe side though.
