Has anybody heard of / or been on the Palmersport Motorsport Experiance (www.plamersport/tme).

This is held at bruntingthorpe proving ground, and includes driving an Elise, Caterham, STI V type RA, F2000 cars and others around various circuits.

I am attending this on Friday as a corporate outing through a supplier I deal with at work and want to know what to expect.

Any info on the event or the Bruntingthorpe cicuits will be gratefully received.

Simon De B... any chance of a bruntingthorpe track guide on 'drivingtechniques' 'cos you hang around there a bit don't you?

Thanks

SimonM

I went last year and have rebooked for August this year.

I beleive that they have got rid of the STI's due to lots of engine problems. STI's werent much fun anyway as it was stick it in fourth and drive it.

The Elise and Caterham make the day. A case of as fast as you can go around a coned circuit with no instructor on board. Six atempts to set the best time of the day.

The single seater was also great fun. 25 minutes to just go for it around a circuit.

I was there 3 weeks ago and it was superb. It was p****** it down all day which increased the fun factor. They have done away with the STI's and now use UK models. The Honda Accord Type R was a good section - mainly because of the particular bit of circuit used for that car. The single seaters were interesting in the wet !
