Could anyone please advise as to the difference between the back box on a MY01 and a MY99. Is it just a case of the hangers being in a different place, or is the routing of the pipe to the centre section different?

good question i need to know coz i have to swap one from a 99 to a 01 and dont want a lot of hassle

 

I've had conflicting reports on this as some say it is different while AWD motorsports in Perth say it isn't, they claim the current magnex backbox will fit the MY01 impreza.

Well i'm not mechanically minded but if the mechanics can't agree on such a simple piece of kit that does concern me.
