Question

Hi

Has it been established whether this is located before or after turbo?

I've always assumed that for the new generation STi's, it's located somewhere in the inlet manifold after the intercooler.

Oh, and where is it located then?
There is nothing in the inlet path pre-filter.
I also can't see any sensors (except MAF) between sensor and turbo.

Isn´t it integrated in the MAF sensor?

Mark.

To my experience, it is part of the map sensor.

It looks like a composite blue drop in the flow, part of the MAF scoop assy.

Question

How can it register temperatures of more than 75 degrees C if it's situated there? The air flowing over it comes directly from outside, and I doubt it could get 50 degrees warmer before it reaches the MAF.

bttt
Someone must know.
The MAF sensor pretty much looks just like a normal MAF...Obviously, due to the nature of how it functions, there can be some temperature feedback there.
But, I've seen inlet temps of >75 C, and I refuse to believe that the air entering the system can heat up that much before the turbo...
