Speedo sensor in Gearbox

Hi - Does anybody know how to replace the speedo sensor within the gearbox of my '98 WRX import. Also, the sensors seem to be pretty expensive (£140) and was wondering if anyone knows of a breakers that might supply. many thanks, Mike
