If your car is under warranty and you're worried about invalidating it, don't muck about with it.

Fitting a vent to atmosphere dumpvalve doesn't in itself mess up the MAF sensor, but it will cause the ECU to misread the MAF values and overfuel the car when the DV is open.

Changing the standard panel air filter to a freer flowing one may give you a subtle increase in induction/dumpvalve noise, but it won't be anywhere near as noticeable as using a vent to atmosphere dumpvalve.

Fitting an induction kit will give you more noise again, but expect the garage to laugh at you if you break the engine and try to claim on the warranty, as many of these can cause big MAF damage/misreads under boost.

At the end of the day do you want your car to make silly noises or work optimally? If the former, you should have saved yourself a lot of money and bought an Escort/Fiesta RS Turbo. If the latter, leave the standard DV on it...
