am thinking about getting an auto start of some description, but are there any that are compatable with my alarm (on a uk MY99,think it's an M30 or something like that)?
if not are there any other options out there? really looking for an add on rather than changing the whole system coz i'm quite happy with the alarm itself.
cheers

exactly the question i am desperate to know.
happy with the sigma, but really want remote start, cant really afford to have sigma replaced with cliff, just for intellistart. got dump valve, gauges, interior, ice, tints etc to do.

Don't think it can be done - but I'm no expert.
The Sigma only has 3 accessory wires.
Output 1 is for accessories that need to know when the unit is armed (aditional LEDs etc).
Output 2 is for supplying a ground (-ve) only when the remotes button is pressed (auto window close etc)or a negative output only for a set time, on every occasion the system is disarmed (door courtesy light illumination etc).
Output 3 is for when the alarm is sounding (pagers / internal siren etc).
You may be able to use output 2 but as I've already stated I'm no expert. A auto electrician should be able to answer.
I got the above from a copy of the sigma manual - mail me if you want the full copy.
Chris
P.s. You will have to inform your insurance that the cat 1 has been invalidated.

matey, firstly, with clifford intellistart, the car is as fully armed as it would be normally, just that the engine is running.
secondly, while its running, if someone does manage to get round the clifford security without drawing attention to himself (i assume that if you started the car, you would probably be quite near by!) anyway, if he/she did get into the car, a mere touch of the brake/ accelerator or a fiddle with the ignition shuts down the engine and immobilises it.
noones gonna nick it while its been remotely started. (one would hope.)

Scooby G,
I agree with you - unfortunatly I don't think the insurance company will.
Any additions to the Sigma will invalidate the Cat 1 certification.
It's not a problem, just tell your insurance co and pay the additional cost to the premium (if they'll cover a Scoob without Cat 1 )
