i use 5w30 oil in my my93. As indicated in the sube legacy book for the 2L turbo engine. but some one on here suggested it was the wrong type. So, wot type does every one else use???????

so why does the sube manual say 5w30. it also says every 3000miles to change as well. but i hammer mine and do it every 2k, but most cars i've had i did about every 3k.

 

I recently wanted to top up with the same oil as used by the main dealer during last service.
They said they use Castrol Formula RS 10 -60, which was what I then bought.

But that also begs the question - why ? .. when the manual says 10-40 (or something like)
