Came back to parked car last night to find the key/fob wouldn't disarm the alarm and open the doors. Can you replace the battery in these things without the fob losing 'sync' with the car receiver?

I'm using the second key/fob at the moment, but am loathe to run on this one for too long without some kind of backup...

Was you parked near a mobile telephone mast? they can affect your alarm/keyfob.
Although, I thought they'ed sorted that in newer models.

Looked around for new masts as it's in an area I park once a week, but couldn't see anything. Original keyfob is still not working, so guess it must be the battery

I wondered whether you had to re-program the car receiver after changing the keyfob battery or whether it just worked straight off again?

Thumbs up

Unscrew the back, put in two new CR2025 batteries, screw the back on - nothing else to do.
