I think my dump valve is leaking, is there an easy way of checking whether it is the valve or just a leaking hose? The leaking only seems to be happening when I put my foot down, the boost gets to maximum but takes a lot longer than normal to reach it! I've checked under the bonnet and the DV is open on idle but seems to close Ok when the throttle is blipped!
If there is a leak somewhere in the system will it do any damage to the engine to drive it while leaking.
