exhaust fitment question!

how hard and what sort of mods are require to fit a new age (01) exhaust (cat back) to a my98 model, cos i know the fixing brackets are dirrerent.

The centre pipe on the 01 is approx 3" shorter than the classic centre and the front bracket on the back box is also in a different position .

As well as the front bracket being in a different position, the '01 back box is longer and will hit the rear antiroll bar on full bump, unless you fit a spacer, approx 10 mm, but cars differ so check clearance. Don't space it too far back though because then it will hit the rear part of the heatshield. As a matter of interest, the internals of the '01 box are different to the '98 but we have tested them both for backpressure, and they come out virtually the same.
