Elias,

The MHI TD-04L (which you have now) and the IHI VF22 are compatible, and you will be able to just drop a VF22 in, BUT... you must get the oil and water pipework since the tread on the IHI an MHI turbos is different. If you buy the turbo "complete" then all this will be there. IIRC, BRDevelopments can supply this as a kit, so they give you the choice, either only turbo if swapping for another VF series or turbo plus fittings if swapping for an MHI.

Alternatively, and many people overlook this, you can buy an MHI TD-05H and have it converted to a straight entry. It will flow as much (if not more) air as a VF22 but being a sleve bearing it is more robust, however does spool up more slowly. This should not require any oil or water pipework.

Hope this helps,

Pat.

Pat thanks for the reply.

I dont know if the 98MY Turbo GT has the MHI-TD-04L but if that's the type how much the oil and water pipework costs separately?
