What are the benefits of having a downpipe with a wastegate allowance (Scoobysport, Scoobymania etc..) versus one which is blanked off (Supersprint and others)?
Which one is better for a Uk Turbo with standard internals? Details welcome!

Thanks,
Ramon

The benefit is that the gasses comming out of the wastegate don't have to do a 90 degree turn into the main exhaust outlet and another 90 degree turn to get into the main exit stream.

Any DP with a wastegate allowance is "better" than one that doesn't as it will improve response - the most noticable being quicker spool up of the Turbo.

Many many people with vouch for the improvements a Scoobysport/Scoobymania DP makes!!!!

Matt.
