SSDP + PPP
Can anyone comment from experience on how much louder my car would be if I changed the centre section to a scoobysport one?
Currently running scoobysport DP and the PPP mid/rear on a MY00.

FLAMING, eh? I thought you needed other bits to make flames? If not, cool!!!
Anyone wanna swap a prodrive mid section for a scooby sport one? I may have to go on a trek to see scoobysport.

Fosters, I've got exactly what you're looking to fit on my UK00 car. That is, PPP with Scoobysport down-pipe and mid-section. But I had the down-pipe and mid-section fitted at the same time so I can't really say where the extra noise comes from.
But extra noise there is! Only from the rear, though. It's great. At tickover and low speed it makes hardly any noise (neighbour friendly) but when it starts to take off around 3,000 it just gets better and better
The other thing I like is that my car, like yours I guess, does about 80mph at 3,000 so cruising is perfectly bearable.
Go for it

PS I don't get any flames. For that I think you need not only a straight through pipe but an ECU which maps a little fuel into the over-run.

Andy, hopefully I'll be there on sunday.
I'm in 2 minds about changing the centre section - do you think the ppp backbox reduces sound levels a bit. I want a bit more noise, but by all accounts, not as much as full SS system.
PPP's good eh! I got mine from new and it seemed an excellent one stop solution to more power.

Fosters,
I just had a PPP put on my MY99, and wow!!!
I'm also running a ScoobySport Backbox, ScoobySport Downpipe and Magnex centre with a resonator, along with a Unifilter RamPod.
Although the Forge recirculating dump valve does add an extra dimension to the noise!!!
Personally I think the noise levels are just right!! I think it would have been unbearable with a full ScoobySport system, although I may have a look at getting one made up with a resonator.
If you don't have it by Sunday, you're more than welcome to have a listen at the Quays meet!
