Are there any known probs with thr clutches on MY00 Sports / Sport Specials.

Mine seems very 'snacthy' and when i was using the hill holder thingy this morning it didn't work (unless I'd forgotten how to drive ).

 

don't know about sports but my turbo (my00) is a pig.i have read of judder and heavy padals which i don't have yet (2700miles), but my car has a very small biting point leading to some very jerky gear changes, which it's done since getting the car, mechanic friend on 4th turbo,currently my99, drove my car last week and then checked there was not a broken engine mount,it is that bad.rang dealer and was told the car was just tight and would loosen off with miles.

If you're lucky your dealer was right and the car is still tight, I have now done 12k in a my00 and I would say that a takes a flippin long time to get used to the clutch, and I still get changes that I'm not happy with, but no judder. (yet).

Well mine got no better after 6 months and 25K, so dealer replaced clutch and f/wheel under waranty.

No more judder and less ****** than a tranny on viagra! marvelous

 

cheers guys, will give it till the 7500m service before taking this any further.thats good service getting a new clutch and f/w after 25k
