paperwork with buying an import

can someone give me a definative answer in what paperwork i need to pick up with buying an import from someone

should it have an mot? its 4 months old in this country, maybe 6 months old since manufacture

is there some other papers apart from logbook you need? sva or something?

how old is the car ? you give the sva in to get it registered

the car is manufactured sometime this year. Its been registered already has a log book, does it need an mot? or is it still the 3 year rule?

is it EU or JDM ??.

if its EU, you must get a copy of the certifcate of conformity, and ask if it has been registered with Subaru UK for the warranty registration.

Also get a copy of the receipt from customs to prove the VAT has been paid.

no paperwork req, mot after 3 years but jan third year as they dont recognise first registered date.
