this is weird, MY99 UK Turbo, had a blitz SS dump valve on for about 3 months, the other night it stopped dumping sometimes and now it doesnt dump at all but i just get flutter flutter (kinda diddle diddle dooo), which is nice but cant be doing my turbo any good!

Is it possible my blitz DV has frozen up? then again i drove for over an hour last night and it was still doing it, can something other than the DV have got stuck? and am I doing any damage if I carry on until I can get someone to fix it?

 

Spring gone? Or little hose coming on top of the valve loose?

 

checked hose, is ok

 

i can still get it to dump but only if I'm REALLY pushing it and come off power really fast, any casual backing off results in flutter, i think if spring had gone it would be open all time wouldnt it and i wouldnt get boost, as it is it holds 1.2bar

 

Then you need the help of somebody more into these things than me. Maybe dirt piston, and does not open completely?

 

Sounds like it needs a clean perhaps..
