Unfortuntely i know nothing of engines, recently bought a sport 2.0 and noticed that when flooring it when changing from 1st to 2nd gear after engaging 2nd the clutch seems to slip.

If (I HOPE NOT) its the clutch on its way out any idea how much this will cost to replace and any one got any recomendations as to affordable uprated clutch i have heard the standard clutch is not all that good???

cheers

Before anything else make sure you have some free play at the clutch pedal before it actually starts to push the rod to the master cylinder.
Look under the dash at the pedal assembly and push the pedal with your hand and you should see it move a little before contacting the pushrod that goes through to the master cylinder. The amount of free play is adjustable, although if there is some play there it indicates that the clutch is indeed fully engaging.
