P1 exhaust
Will a P1 backbox fit an MY00 wagon?
If it fits, is there any point in swapping the original for the P1 box, in terms of power gains/minimising backpressure?
Feels like the engine can't breathe with the original box. I don't want a noisy replacement, but a decent compromise between noise and reduced backpressure would be fine.
(Bet some of you will tell me to go for the Scoobysport instead, but I understand it is pretty noisy and tiresome on longer trips..?)

Thanks,
Guess the UK exhaust is same as fitted to my Norwegian(...) MY00 GT Wagon, and if so will the P1/STI backbox fit?
Again, any difference (i.e. in flow and pipe dimension - not only tail pipes) between downpipe/mid section/backbox on stdr MY00 vs P1/STI?

The STi/P1 backbox is a single pipe rather than twin. About 3" diameter......vee'ed down to a ~2" opening on the silencer!
I fitted one to a MY99 after the Scoobysport was too loud for Switzerland. It's a *slightly* deeper note - but is basically a standard backbox, so no problems fitting it.
Lots available in the UK - first thing anyone with an import does is junk the backbox. I paid £30 for mine (& over double that for shipping!).
I'd guess it's as restrictive as the standard backbox, but (IMHO) this wont be a problem unless fitting a less restrictive downpipe or mid-section. I noticed no performance gain with a Scoobysport backbox....just the aural one
