I've been away working for a week, during this time my wife drove the car once, then a couple of days later she wanted to move it forward a bit on the driveway. Engine on, could'nt select any gears. Engine off, gear selection normal. i got back last night, so checked it out this morning. Same thing. No mats caught under the pedal to stop the clutch fully engaging, no fluid loss, and cltch felt like normal pressure. Called the AA out, basically so we could get the car relayed to the local garage. AA man jumps in, gear selection back to normal. I tried, everything seemed fine, drove about 10 miles with no problems at all with gear selection. Obviously some problem with the hydraulics [ The AA man mentioned it was possibly a problem with the master cylinder seal]. Any ideas anyone?
