I have just purchased the Scorpion mid-section and back box. I got the older style 76mm midsection, with the 4" tail pipe.

When delivered I recevied mid-section / tailbox and connector. Come fitment time the garage returned the connector saying it wasn't needed. Is that correct..?

Secondly the mid-section hits the heat shield below the fuel tank when i go down the slightest bump, and the tailbox section misses the rear diff by only 1cm.

I am now thinking the reason Scorpion changed to the 2.5" system is because this older one is simply to big.

Should I bend the heat-shield out of the way..?

Should I return the exhaust in favour of the new smaller bore...

Any thoughts..

That is strange! I have had no problems at all with my 3" Scorpian.

 

Took the exhuast to Dave West at Risboro 4x4 and he managed to fit the exhaust without needing to bend the heat-shield.

I am now very pleased with the Scorpion system..
