Cool

I wouldn't reccommend it for a scooby, although it is possible. To do the job properly, you would need to be able to change the car's mapping to retard(iirc) the ignition... so a replacement ecu may be required.

It may be more cost effective and productive to look into trading up to a later model, less laggy, scooby.

Cool

Has anyone fitted N02 injection to cure Turbo lag ???
Does it work, how did you use it??
Is it difficult to get the parts and fit ??
What does Mr. Insurance Man think of this stuff.

Cheers

Barge,

If you want to reduce lag, swapping to a smaller turbo will do this - but you won't have the "rush" of the current turbo

Fitting an induction kit and downpipe reduce lag significantly...

Thanks

Gavin

Talking

At Powerstation yesteday a GTi-R was running Nitrous. It did not reduce turbo lag - but when it came on stream the powerlift was vertical - rollers couldn't cope and required three stout fellows sitting on the tailgate to get any grip!

Apparently there is a picture somewhere of some American fitting NO2 in his garage and the tank split completely destroying his car (and garage)
