Unhappy

Hello all,

Im only a newbie so you might have to cut me some slack. I recently purchased a MY99. When i depress the clutch at high revs it seems only when the turbo has kicked in i get a strange noise its like a scraping but off turbo no matter how fast i am going its all all right. Is this the norm or is something up. I have checked through previous clutch posts and none seem to match up with my problem.

Thanks all

I am no expert on Scoobys but I would get that checked out if I were you as I believe a new clutch is quite expensive. You might be doing it more harm by leaving it.

On my MY00 at high revs the only noise I hear is engine-turbo-induction etc etc

You may be rushing the gear change. Try slowing it down slightly and see if the problem is still there. Many of the other threads have different descriptions of how to go about this.

Julian.

Thanks for your suggestions, i thought about the gear change thing but even if i just put the clutch down with no gear change it still does it. I tried taking it to the dealer but they said they couldnt hear it, probably because it could be a warranty claim.
