if it is anything like a uk car, you have to unbolts 2 bolts from the rear passengers footwells first and unhook the seat from a clamp in the middle.
Then undo three bolts from the rear section of the seat and lift up to remove.

That explains it, i saw the gold bolts but thought they were to remove the seats completely.

Will go back into the garage in a while to try it out.

Cheers

Eh? Unless your car has aftermarket dampers, they're not top-adjustable. If your intent is to lower the ride height, you certainly can't do it this way, as the only way would be via lowering springs or (if you have coil-overs) turning the spring collars!

No. Type R's (and JDM cars in general) don't have drop-down rear seats, so the only solution is to remove the squab, then unbolt and remove the complete seat back assembly.

You do have to remove the seats completely. Even on the UK cars that do have drop-down rear seats, you've still got to remove the entire seatback if you want to gain access to the suspension turrets.

Perhaps i should have worded my post a bit better...

I have cusco coilovers which are fully adjustable and am suffering with very very hard ride. I want to get to the top of the strut and turn the damping setting down to marker "one" if this is the sofest out of numbers "1" to "5".

I may have to buy some softer springs.
