Question

I have a Legacy GT-B and I was underneath last night trying to cure the oil leak from the valve cover gasket.

Because of the twin turbos it has 2 downpipes - the smaller turbo downpipe has an O2 sensor before and after the cat. The other side of the engine has a sensor on the manifold, about 3 inches from the head, is this likely to be a third O2 sensor is it possible that it is an EGT sensor - it has 3 wires, it seems to be very close to the head for an O2 sensor

Anyone any ideas

Having never seen an EGT sensor I can't comment but an O2 sensor *does* have 3 wires - 2 for the heater and one for the output.
