Is it normal for car to be needed for the 12 month body service for 2 days?

Just got my MY02 WRX booked in for its 20,000 mile service but also it's just 12 months old hence needs the body service doing and the dealer tells me this means they need the car for two days?

On the plus side I guess this means I get two days of Corsa driving!

I can only presume its to allow the under body protection to "cure" once applied. The garage has to power wash the underside first, then allow it to dry, then apply the coating.

 

Had mine done in a day.

 

Sounds like they want to do it properly. When I had mine done they made a cursory effort at washing the mud from the arches and applied the underseal directly onto the wet surface, needless to say most of it came straight off.

Had mine done last month. They only had the car for about 3 hours in total & that included getting a wee bit of cosmetic work done aswell.
