Overboost......Is this the deadly problem?
Just a thought.......... haven't read all the threads completely on this subject but have noticed the following on my car: I have a bleed valve fitted and my engine (99MY with Milltek back box) generates a constant 1.0 bar, falling off slightly thro' the higher revs. If I floor it in 5th gear, the gauge shoots round to 1.2bar and settles back to 0.9 - If I step in the throttle a tiny bit slower, it reaches 1.0 bar and stays there! Now alot of debates are focusing on reliability and dyno testing/setup which tend to hold a consistant but slower engine rpm increase. Would this not have disastrous effects in the real world of overboost tendencies?
Just a thought! Sorry if this has been discussed to death!
