Car felt well slow .......

I have an 03 WRX and had some HiFi installed yesterday (standard stuff is lousy) and I think they disconnected the battery.
- Car felt well slow for the first 20 mins then much more responsive!
So does the ECU reset / loose the settings for all my thousands of miles of Optimax and default back to a safe point?
