Complete PDA Navigation System for sale

Comprises:

Compaq iPAQ 3630 with Compact Flash Expansion Jacket and 128MB Compact Flash card
Leadtek Smart Antenna 6532 GPS receiver
TomTom Navigator Software
CheckPOInt Speed Camera detecting software
TomTom Connecting Leads
Arkon CM429 In Car Vent Mount

An entire all in one system that not only gives you all the functionality of a PDA (Email, Internet, MP3 Player, Multi-function all in one Remote Control, Windows Media Player, Games etc) but a complete Satellite Navigation system. Using the TomTom Navigator software, you have host of features (see their website for more details)

The advantage of this system above normal SatNav systems (such as those found as standard equipment) is that it’s portable, so you can take it from car to car, as well as removing it entirely when parked. Not only that, but because it is PDA based, you get all the functionality of a PDA into the bargain! It comes with the CheckPOInt speed camera software which works in a similar fashion to Road Angel and Snooper GPS based systems.

IPAQ 3630 Spec:

240 x 320 TFT LCD screen displays more than 4,000 colors
32 MB RAM and 16 MB ROM
Includes Pocket Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, and Outlook, plus desktop version of Outlook 2000
Plays audible.com spoken-word content; optional expansion packs can add a variety of functions
What's included: iPaQ 3630, Two Styli, Vinyl slipcase, AC adapter, Docking cradle, Rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery, iPaQ Expansion Pack system, User Manual

Leadtek GPS Receiver spec:

12 Channels "All-In-View" Tracking
Cold/Warm/Hot Start Time: 45/38/8 Seconds
Reacquisition Time: 0.1 seconds
Support Standard NMEA-0183 and SiRF Binary protocol
Support Accurate 1PPS Output Signal Aligned with GPS Timing
Trickle Power Enabled for Power Saving
Multi-path Mitigation Hardware
Superior Sensitivity for Urban Canyon and Foliage Environment
On-board RTCM SC-104 DGPS and WASS Demodulator
Based SiRFstarII Architecture
Field Software Upgrade Supported
Fully water-proof

Cable availability:
Compaq iPAQ 36xx/37xx, 38xx series
HP Jornada 56x series
Casio Cassiopeia E-125, E-200
Palm Vx, M500 series
Handspring Visor, Edge
Magnet base for mounting on the car
http://www.leadtek.co.uk for more info

More details, pics etc available on request…

The iPAQ itself needs a new rechargable battery – works fine off the charger atm, but you will need to buy a battery if you intend to use it outwith the charger.

This little lot cost me over £600 about 6 months ago.

I’m looking for offers over £300 – drop me an email: the.gza@virgin.nospam.net (remove the .nospam bit)

Reason for sale is that I’m no longer doing the mileage I was, therefore the SatNav and Speed Camera detection facility is not a useful as it was, plus moving house means I could be doing with the spare cash! Spent a lot of time (and money!) getting this combination right - it's a fantastic setup and very versatile.

Also, there's a review of the LeadTek GPS receiver here

Receives a superb 100% rating!

I've used In-Car SatNav from a number of manufacturers (Mercedes, Audi and Peugeot) and this simply blows them out of the water!

Review of the Arkon CM429 in car mount here too.
