hi there, im new to this forum and a friend has a 1992 k reg Suraru impretza XRX, its imported from japan and i would like to know if the standard stero fitted in japan is the same size as a uk one as whoever he got it from has made a right pigs ear of fitting a uk one and theres a big hole in the center console, so if he got a new console would the stereo fit?

does anyone have any piccies of there stereos?

 

he needs to get a fascia to fill the hole which goes under the uk radio!get them from any audio shop made by autoleads and i beleave there available from subaru

 

I have a double din stereo, i.e twice the depth of a normal one. you can either fit one like that or a standard UK stereo will fit, but you will need a blanking off tray which fits underneath. Below is my double din stereo.
