Is it true that Vale motors (yeovil & wincanton) have gone bust? Where's the nearest Subaru dealer now then!! Dorset/somerset area?

Yes, tis true, sadly , they were a good dealer IMHO. Nearest is Plymouth, Southampton, Swindon or Bristol.

 

They must be going to appoint another dealer somewhere, I don't see how they can expect to sell cars with no dealers!!!

 

I take it you two used Vale as you're dealer?
What scoobs do you drive? I think i must know all the scoobs around yeovil

Are these other dealers near by actual subaru dealerships? As i think that's the best place to get my scoob, rather then a 3rd party garage.

I bought my scoob from Vales in wincanton, they then moved the branch to Yeovil, I live about 25 miles from yeovil, in the opposite direction to Bristol!!
Glen had a Euro my00, he did use Vales, he now has a red? wagon, and lives further away than I do, so I doubt youy'd know either of our cars.

I spotted a blue my00? on the road out to Sherborne the other day, in the dealers on the left just out of yeovil, a bit privey though!! it'd have to be a damn good one!

Yes Vale are closed, I bought an oil filter from them last Thursday as 3 transporters were there taking the stock away. They locked their doors permanently later that day.

The dealer situation in this area is grim, dealers in Yeovil, Taunton, Exeter and Poole have closed recently, this leaves Tiley in Bristol (1 hour 10 mins from me) or Sparshatts near Southampton (2 hours drive away). I will be writing to Subaru and congratulating them on their policy on dealers - one of the reasons I bought a Scoob is because of good dealers being nearby, now with no dealers at all within 60 miles my next car will almost certainly not be a Subaru.
