MY98 Turbo with 96k miles. From New Warranty just expired, and I have option to extend it to a Subaru Proven 2 Warranty for a further 12 months.
The Proven 2 covers all Engine, Electrical and Mechanical defects, clutch, gearbox, engine, exhaust, starter motor, alternator, bearings, driveshafts etc.
All it doesn't cover, compared to the from new cover, is interior and exterior trim, bodywork etc, I think.
Also included is the Subaru Relay Service, which has homestart included too (I figure thats worth around £100).
The cost to extend is £300.
Is it worth it?

Buy it mate, i have, although have not made a claim yet. It gives you the piece of mind that if your scooby does break down, then you are covered, i know it means that you have to have the car seviced by a Subaru dealer,at the correct intervals, but I think it is worth the cost. £450 don't go far at a dealer.

Personally, I would buy it. I certainly plan on extending my warranty when the time comes.
