Picked up my STI this week, I got 7.5% off, if I didn't get that price a was going to walk away
There are deals to be done, just stick to your guns and go in with cash ready to spend.
Good Luck

with interest rate going up I think the Dealer will offer a better deal in the newyear cause lots of peeps with huge mortgages will be eating spam from a tin with all the lights out cause they are skint
what I mean is if the rates go up then the less cash there is floating about so the dealer may feel the pinch too

thats another point to think about, but i was thinking about selling the car on and so on?
Will it make it better for me in the long run if my car is purchased in jan 04 compared to dec 03 when i come to sell the car or trade it in?

If you go for an 04 car you will get the DCCD-A on it as standard
However if and when you order make sure that it is 04 spec (i.e. with DCCD-A) and not just an 03 registered in 04
Don't know if price is going up though

We have an 04 car with us now and it does not have DCCD. I spoke to IM about it the other day and they seemed to think that car was no further down the line. Buy now and save yourself more money because dealers are trying to meet targets, i know we are.
I am also looking to change my 01 WRX for an Sti and have spoken to a few dealers who say that they have got some readily available in their showroom and are VERY KEEN to get rid of them.
Does this mean that I could expect some movement on the list price?

I too would like to change my 02 WRX for a new STI - whats the going rate or cost to change rather (fairly modified - morrettes, 22B type spoiler, blitz+decat, EcuTek, Eibachs etc) rough estimates welcomed (from recent experience at dealers).
dealers have stock and are keen to get rid - will I get a price reduction?
have you been in and asked ? Not being funny but if you show him the colour of your money he can only say no. I got £1200 off, £500 off 18 wheel/tyre upgrade & 10% off ppp. Mind you 2nd car in 2 years
go ask, if he does not play ball go somewhere else
cheers simon
