Cool

.....kids are checking out your scooby and for once its NOT to key it/spit at it/etc. The little tykes were walking along on the pavement (ball in hands/jumpers for goal posts ) and I noticed them 'watching' the car. As I pulled out the junction I thought I'd indulge them and floored it in 1st/2nd. Sure enough out out come the little thumbs as I drive past........Bless

Shame I didn't still have the VTA DV as it would have been sounding off just as I passed them. Remember we have to encourage these future MY15 owners as the Subaru will depend on them some day

I like children from Edinburgh. Children from Sheffield steal the valve caps. Next time I see one of them at it I'm gonna take the stop lock across their head

Still, will be home innnn (looks at calendar) 2 weeks and three days You warned everyone yet SB?

Talking

You have to be with it as you get older, or else kids pointing and saying things like "thats fat" can really annoy you, till you realise there talking about your scoob in a good way, and dont mean the driver

I watched three lads about 12 or 13 year old, walk past mine.
1 lad stopped, pulled his jumper sleeve over his hand and started polishing my spoiler, I giggled!!

Cool

Just starting to get use to the looks.

I've had my first double thumbs up from a school kid as I drove past.

Thumbs up

Have to say it took a while to get used to the positive attention the car got from kids - and like you Ive dropped it a gear or two once or twice, just coz I can!
What still amazes me is the odd Evo 5/6 who volunteers the thumbs up from time to time - always expected a rivalry - but mutual respect is well err OK I guess!!

As the title says dont you just love it...

I live in a some time rough town, and before with other cars young kids walk by and go 'Nice car pal, the wheels would look good on ma uncle's car'

But now with the Scoob, all i get is, 'Theres a Scooby..! Do a wheel spin big man..'

Of course they dont know about traction control and all.... :S

LOL, this reminds me of my holiday up north (nw scotland) when a bunch of the kids on the campsite asked me to take them for a spin in the car. After checking with their parents I took them out. At first they seemed unimpressed as I feathered the throttle to warm her up and were happily chatting amoungst themselves........then I snicked 2nd and floored it until about 90-odd. I heard a few gasps and then utter silence as I flug her round a rather tight corner at said speed. In reality the car wasn't breaking sweat but to 10 year olds it would likely have been the fastest thing they have experienced. Remember this was when the car was a lot faster as well (tek, etc).

It was so funny watching them run off to brag to the other kids after

The week after that I removed the interior to turn her into a total rally slag. Highly recommended: the noise is amazing and there is a noticeable gain in performance and agilty Only took 30 mins to take out and 3 hours to put back in
