Question

Am I correct in assuming that my recently installed Link ECU does not use the MAF sensor? if so then would it be better for air flow to remove it and replace with a straight through pipe?

Cheers,
Len.

Yes you are correct.

Remove the maf sensor put it carefully in a box without knocking it about then just blank the hole off.

Thanks for your reply, what do you mean by "blank the hole off"? the air flows from air filter through the MAF and into the turbo, surely you would have to replace it with some straight through pipe?

The MAF sensor comes out of the section of air flow pipe its in and then the hole it leaves once removed needs blanking.

MY99 cars on you can remove the maf cartridge and blank the hole in the pipe, earlier cars you do need to remove the whole maf and replace with suitable pipe.
