Look at the auction sheet if these are freshly imported, if the vendor can't supply it then don't touch the car with a barge-pole. The auction sheet will confirm the mileage and the grade that the car sold at; if it's a 4 (or a 3.5 when over 100K Kms) then it should be good. Everyone will tell you that they 'have a guy in Japan'; they don't, most cheap imports are from dock auctions and they're poor, frequently clocked and regularly repair grade cars. To establish the mechanical condition of the car spend an hour or even half an hour's labour time at a good factory trained independant specialists; if there's anything to find they will find it. They're much better and a fraction of the cost of the AA and similar inspection firms. If the car's good, the dealer wouldn't hesitate, I suggest it to the buyer with cars that I've imported; if they refuse.......... Hope that this helps

Hi,
Im going to look at a couple 94 WRX over the next week and wondered if anyone could provide me with some pointers at what to look for.
Both cars have covered about 50k, hopefully the mileage is genuine
Thanks in advance
