The remote fob/remote central locking on my 01 WRX wagon has just stopped working, after working intermittently for a few days. It's not the battery as the new spare key doesn't work either.

Any tips? On some cars you can re-synchronize the keys, but there are no instructions in the manual.

Can anybody help? Much appreciated.

 

Is it doing this anywhere?.
The reason I ask is that a lot ppl have had the alarm stop working due to telecom stuff nearby, i.e. Police station etc, but getting the car down the road a bit and it starts working.
If this is not the case I would get someone to have a butchers.

Yes. Just started happening in the same place it's been parked for 2 years.

Sounds expensive but should be under warranty.

 

Check the fuse ! Mine did this at Prosport an hour ago, turned out the fuse had blown. Just don't ask me where it is located.......
