I need to take out the ECU on a MY03 wrx in order to get mail order Ecutek. Does anyone have pictures+good description of this actually being done?

btw people with MY03 wrxs does your car have a cat in the uppipe or not? a lot of conflicting opinions on that one

 

If it's in the same place as the STI 03 it'll be in the front floor well of the passenger side of the car. You'll see a plastic strip holding down the carpet held in by plastic screw heads. Remove the carpet and then you'll see the plate covering the ecu. Remove the plate and then un screw the bolts holding the ecu in place. There are 4 multipin connectors going into the ecu, these can be removed by pushing down on the top lip and pulling out.

 

By the way thinking of having the same done to mine, whose doing it for the the ecu upgrade I meen.
