What would sticking a dose of Octane Booster in a tankfull of SUL do to a UK car?

My thinking was thus;

As i'm running again at Santa Pod on 21/5, I was proposing to stick a can of Octane Booster in with my next tank of SUL. My Scoob (MY97) has always run on Shell SUL. I was hoping that by the time I had driven around this week and got to the Pod, the ECU would have advanced all parameters, thereby giving me an edge on the strip.

My only doubt is, when I revert back to normal SUL, would the ECU retard the parameters severerly, therefore ending up with worse settings than previous until the ECU re-learnt the optimum settings?

Any thoughts?

If it is worth consideration, which Octane Booster would you suggest?
