Dodgy Speedo now repaired :) :) :) :)
My speedo has been sticking at 120mph even when driving at lower speeds OR the needle would spring to the wrong side of the resting pin and stay there.
I read a few threads on this common problem and the only fix seemed to be buying a NEW ONE!!!
at £400ish or replacing it with a 2nd hand one from somewhere like grade a for £150ish and then have the mileage re-adjusted.
But... an auto-electrician mate of mine has just had a look and discovered a dry joint on the circuit board and a loose connection on a COSIGN+ pin
or something like that.
Anyway, its working again!!!

Just thought id share my FIX as it may help others in the same situation seeing as it is a common fault on MY98 classics.
