I have a very nice shiney STI8 and its bugging the hell out of me coz of the handling... 1) it pulls slightly to the right.. and 2) understeers like a biatch!!

Im gonna get it lowered and stuff prolly by TSL eventually but im a little short at the mo and would just like settle with the geo setup being right...

I have been to the dealer.. but all i get is its fine.. and thats how it should be.... and the monkeys wont budge on that... so im gonna send them the bill afterwards too

So who do you think is prolly the best set up and qualified subura guys in the south.. Im willing to travel.. (just not upto nottingham atm)

Thanks in Advance

Im from Southampton btw

My car had a full geometry setup, along with a few other handling mods done by Powerstation, who are in Cheltenham if my memory is working right at this hour of the morning.

Or, if you want somewhere nearer home, Micheldever tyres, at Micheldever hav laser 4 whell alignment gear, they did a good job on my my00 a while back, but they only use whats there, they're not into bolt-ons!!

It depends on whether you want a 4-wheel laser align, that is simply exactly set to what the manufacturer (of the car, or align gear) state should be on your car - OR - whether you want a 4-wheel laser align that is performed with intimate knowledge of what the settings and angles actually mean, how they adjust the handling, how to correct it, what to dial in / out to alter the handling of your car to suit you, etc.

If you are happy with the former - ie a car that handles like Subaru intend it to (ie still understeers), but all the wheels are aligned properly - then go to ProTyre or Micheldever, or whoever.....

....but, if you want the car aligned so that it handles PROPERLY and to suit you, then pay PowerStation a visit.

It may help to also have the anti-lift kit and stiffer rear anti-roll bar / solid drop-links fitted by them at the same time - as I have - which really makes the car handle sensibly, with none of this stupid understeer rubbish.......

Micheldever will set up your car EXACTLY how you specify, I've been to both, no complaint about Powerstation at all, in that respect, but I use Micheldever as I think that their equipment is superior, the guys that do the work understand how to use it.
Both companies do a good job imho.

Who ever you use make sure you tell them what you want from the setup.

Curtis - POWER STATION - value for money, professional, easy going and technically sound..Recommend them highly. Just spent the whole day with them doing mods..had no issues at all.
