Hi all,

This is my first post, I was hoping it was going to be a happier one! I bought my first Scooby last week. 1996 WRX in black 60,000 Miles £5,600. (260 BHP Import)

I have been told by Tiley of Bristol (local Scooby Dealer) that both my rocker gaskets need changing. The parts are about £50 but they want £180 labour? is this about right?

Plus I have also got a problem with the check engine light, comes on when you roll down hill when in gear and goes out when I put the clutch in. Any ideas?

Doesnt sound that bad for a main dealer - had mine done with a cambelt change and oil / filter for £500 (non main dealer!)

Do em yourself, parts are about £60 for both sides altho if only one side is leaking only do that side and leave the other alone. Pretty easy job only six bolts to undo. make sure you change the spark plug gaskets and bolt gaskets aswell.
