Scooby Goes to Scotland
Sadly the service was cancelled a few years back. Read in the papers today that a new service is being launched between London and Penzance, operating Fri, Sat and Sun from next month - pretty cheap too, £69 return for car and driver. So if you decide to go South instead you are in luck.

I'm hoping to drive over to the Czech Republic later this year and it's a real pain having to drive for 6 hours just to catch the shuttle or even a ferry before your holiday really begins.
I've seen the English motorways which, not suprisingly, aren't any different to the crap ones in Scotland.
Get's a big "two thumbs fresh" vote from me

Does anyone know if there is a train from London to Glasgow/Edinburgh that you can load a car on, like the Le Shuttle to France? I'm sure there used to be one, but I'm not sure if it's still running. Or am I imagining it?
We are planning to go to Scotland for a weekend sometime over the Summer. We live in London, and to save hours of boring motorways and conserve ourselves for the great driving
we know we will find up there, we thought we might put the Scooby on the train rather than drive all the way.
Any information gratefully received.
Cheers.

Various people have been interested in resurrecting Motorail, but Great Western (above) are the only ones who have pulled their finger out as yet.
Perhaps you should try and devise a devious scenic route and take your time getting up there? (L-o-n-g weekend) I went up three times last year, before I had the Scoob, and it's a long slog from the midlands never mind London. Worth it though!
I must get the Scooby up there, you're right the roads are great!
Where are you thinking of heading?
happy travelling
Chris
