Mobil-1 synthetic motor oil
#2
If you look back through the archive by doing a search on this subject then you will find a few threads on it - I beleive IM Issued a warngina gainst using it as it was of a too low viscosity. What service are you having done? I beleive they now recomend Shell Helix as the preferred oil of choice. Also it would probably be better to go for a semi-synthetic if the engine is still quite new as opposed to a fully synthetic.

There are two types of Mobil-1 synthetic motor olis. They are 0W-40 (more known) and 5W-50. For an Impreza Turbo (and any turbo engines) 5W-50 is recommended, and a costs a little less (in Hungary).

Julian - previous postings suggest that the engine needs to be loosened up adequately be4 u run it with full synthetics or else u end up with an engine which is "tight" even after 5000 miles. Ideally after the first service u should run it with mineral oils till the next service. Yes, full synthetics are better - it doesnt breakdown and make u cry..
