Has anyone had any problems with their rear diff? Pretty sure mine has gone for a second time in just over 12 months (98uk).

It's booked in for next friday, but the noise at the moment is terrible - really loud grating noise. Also, when I slow down to a stop it shakes the car as if it's going to stall. Happens in neutral aswell though, so is it the diff doing this aswell?

As I've got another week before it's fixed, will I damage the car any more if I carry on using it? What's the worst that can happen?!

Any info appreciated.
