Hi All,

I own a MY97 sedan. My problem is when my engine warms up from cold start and I give it a few revs the exhaust blows blue smoke ( currently standard exhaust but more pronounced with 3" exhaust) . As soon as I start driving for about a minute or so the blue smoke has gone.

I have no loss in power and it drives ok. A brief history of the car leading to this problem is on my last service ( at a subaru dealer ) they overfilled my engine with ~ 300-400 ml with Mobil 1 engine oil. My theories for why is happening are:-

1. Some oil has been picked up by the plumbing around the block and I found some oil in my intercooler.

2. I might have a loose oil seal at the exhaust end of the turbo so when engine cold and warming up it seeps thru and burns. When seal hot and has expanded the seal operates properly so no smoke.

Has anyone had this problem ? Please help.

Thanks,

Nionio
