Help Needed in Sheffield, Rotherham, or Derby....

Can Anyone reccomend a decent garage around these areas that may be able to diagnose whats up with my car (without ripping me off)?

or has anyone got Deltadash around here?

Symptons:-
1999 WRX (import)running on Optimax (no better with booster)
when driven below 4000revs it feels lumpy / hesitant as though misfiring. (only ever get 1 green on knocklink)
Once turbo kicks in it runs fine and feels very smooth.
However at 5.5k it momentarily lights the red on the knocklink.
Past 5.5k its back to 1 green with an occasional flash of red around the 6.5/7k

I'd fit new spark plugs as a first port of call if your experiencing miss-fires.

Could be a duff coil pack. But you won't know until you've done the plugs.

So despite people telling you over and over to change the MAF, you havnt, yet you ask the question again. No disrespect but that doesnt make any sense.

MAF failures are common and give this symptom, you are risking an engine failure for £75 worth of parts any dealer can sell you.

The part number is 22794AA010 - Meter CP-AIR Flow for an MY99-00 Impreza.

Please buy one and see if that cures the problem.

Could this be a faulty fuel pump?
