My STi8 is completely standard. I want to go for a free flowing de-cat system. What options do i have? Do i need to re-map at the same time?

Hi!

I am doing the same thing, I am on a tight budget and there are a few options:

www.Revolution.eu.com
Cat-back systems:
their own variant of a jetex-system(3"), £299
Magnex (2.5"), £249

A decent 3" internal diameter de-cat turbo-back exhaust on an STi 7/8 will give you massive (read 1.7bar) boost spikes if you don't have a re-map at the same time. You will also need an up-rated fuel pump to supply adequate fuel pressure at the top end.

APS 3" exhaust, fuel pump and re-map - £1895 (fitted and mapped - inc. vat)- will deliver 320bhp and 300ib-ft at 1.2 Bar (standard boost.

Give me a call - we're doing another one of these tomorrow.
