1.6 Gti alloys, Pipercross filter
Owned in family since 40k miles - sister, then mum, then me.
Superb reliable car, quick, great handling and averages 40mpg, even on a hectic run.
Recent full exhaust system, full service, new driveshafts, head gasket, timing belt
4 good tyres, crap make, but good tread and seem to work well.
Used as run around for last 6 months.
Interior clean, everything in working order. Bodywork has usual dings and a couple of very minor scrapes/stone chips here and there.
Negatives
Slight oil leak from engine, but never actually loses any oil from the dipstick level
Needs ARB droplinks
Could do with some new brake pads soon
Needs new door pin - sticks when you open it
Positives:
Great runner, still goes well and revs to redline easily.
Still returns 40mpg
No blue smoke, no tappet sounds, stem seals fine
Hasn't let me down in the last 6-12 months.
Would make a good project car.
Looking for £450 ono
Car is in Lancs, near Burnley.
Sale due to recent purchase of 205 Mi16.
